Charming Lake Como

Once well-known for its attractive villas, the Italian island of Lake Como, also known as Lario, has a new claim to fame: George Clooney. Joining the ranks of distinguished 19-centruy artists, writers, politicians, crowned heads and intellectuals, Clooney chose Lake Como as a place to call home. Maintaining the feel of an old-world Mediterranean fishing village, Lake Como continues to inspire artists and visitors with its breathtaking backdrop of the pre-Alps and surrounding olive and orange trees.
